OBAMA AUTHOR ANDY MARTIN ASKS WHETHER THE PROFANITY AND MISOGYNY-LACED PRESENTATION AT AN OBAMA FUND RAISER IN CHICAGO FRIDAY NIGHT OFFERS US A PREVIEW OF AN OBAMA WHITE HOUSE
IS BERNIE MAC WHAT AMERICANS HAVE TO LOOK FORWARD TO?
DO THE LIBERAL MEDIA HAVE A DOUBLE STANDARD FOR MCCAIN AND OBAMA REMARKS?
(NEW YORK)(July 13, 2008) Friday night the Barack Obama campaign hosted a fund-raiser for wealthy contributors at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Chicago. The event may have offered Americans a preview of what an Obama White House would be like.

There was Bernie Mac, Obama's "great friend" and a "king of comedy" in Obama's humble opinion, insulting 600 financial heavy hitters of the Democratic Party. One outraged Democrat finally had enough of the offensive "comedy" and told Bernie to shut up and sit down. What gives?
For those who are too blinded by Obama to see the reality of his campaign, Obama was giving us a sneak preview into an Obama White House: entertainment laced with vulgarity, profanity and misogyny.
Common sense says that if you invite 600 Chicagoans to a political fundraiser, you try to inspire the crowd, not shock them into an awareness that Obama and his troupe are not ready for the presidency.
Last week Obama called for more Americans to speak French. Using his preferred language, what is breathtaking about the Obamas is how nouveau riche, parvenu and arriviste they are. Are the Obamas elitists? Not really. They are elitist pretenders.
They apparently think that crass ghetto humor is just what the presidential campaign and the Democratic Party needs.
Let me instruct Mr. Obama, since he obviously needs a lesson in campaign civility: Yes, Senator Obama, there is a double standard for what happens in the White House and what happens outside the White House. Properly so. Likewise, there is a double standard for what a presidential candidate can sponsor or endorse, and what a mere senator may support.
Personally, I would find the prospect of the Obamas and their raunchy comedians inappropriate for the White House. President Kennedy and Mrs. Kennedy brought great culture to the nation's home. From all that appeared Friday night, Obama would bring his dirty jokes and racial humor.
Obama increasingly appears to be living in a dream world. He may have temporarily vanquished Senator Hillary Clinton, but a very large segment of the Democratic Party remains intensely suspicious of him. Raunchy humor is not the way to recruit or reassure these Democrats. (Note: the skeptical Democrats are often described as "cultural conservatives.")
No sooner has Jesse Jackson exposed his castration fantasies because Obama was "talking down to African-Americans," than Obama himself showed us what he thought of his new role as presumptive nominee: tasteless humor for Democratic Party contributors. The problem with Obama is that he has become intoxicated with his own "coolness;" his sense of "cool" increasingly reflects ghetto humor and not mainstream American culture.
Jackson may have accused Obama of dissing Blacks but Jesse was wrong. Bernie Mac has a minority-focused shtick. Obama is not ignoring the minority community; he is confirming that his humor and his culture are 100 minority oriented. Jesse, repent. Barry O is a brother. Really. Just ask Bernie Mac.
Most Americans, I am sure, believe that people should be free to enjoy their own entertainment. We are a pluralistic, multicultural society with all kinds of high and low amusements. But when that entertainment is foisted upon wealthy Democrats in Chicago, or previewed by a potential future White House occupant, we are entitled to express our concerns. How many would want Bernie Mac's style of humor headlining the White House's entertainment marquee? I strongly support the view that people should be free to choose their own entertainment; but I am a cultural conservative myself. Where the entertainment slate at the White House is concerned, I am even more protective.
The "hard left" media, starting with the Olbermann show on MSNBC, attacked Senator John McCain for making a limp joke about exporting cigarettes to Iran to kill Iranians. Will Olbermann be as offended by Obama's sponsorship of Bernie Mac's comedy routines? Is there a liberal-news-media double standard for McCain jokes and Obama jokes?
Since Obama claims that he and Bernie Mac are "great friends," one can assume Obama knew what was coming when he invited the comedian to entertain. Later his "just messing with you man" refrain suggested that Obama thought the entire kerfuffle was a joke. Another episode of something "overblown" that Obama just can't understand. Obama's campaign later offered a weak retraction of Mac's remarks. The damage had been done.
People may continue to support Obama, and a hapless Republican Party may even allow Obama & Company to seize the White House. But we now know what we have coming when a new "first family" takes over, and "great friends" such as Bernie Mac are featured entertainers at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. What else does Obama have planned for the White House. Fifty cent? Obama is living in a dream world if he thinks most Americans want Fifty Cent doing his thing in the White House.
Democrats, wake up. Republicans wake up. Barry O (Obama) wake up. America wake up. Is this the kind of amusement you are looking forward to in the White House? The kind of taste-setter and opinion-maker you will be as president?
Obama's choice of entertainment? That's no joke.
But no one can say he didn't warn us.
