Since 2004, Mr. Khuzami, 52, has been General Counsel for the Americas at Deutsche Bank. In that role, he has supervised more than 100 lawyers supporting the bank's various businesses in the Americas, and has overseen Americas-based litigation and regulatory enforcement actions. From 2002 to 2004, he served as Global Head of Litigation and Regulatory Investigations for the bank.

“Well,” Martin says, “Deutsche Bank filed tens of thousands of malicious foreclosure lawsuits, apparently all under Khuzami’s supervision and direction, and the bank was sanctioned by federal judges in Ohio for abusing the judicial system. Khuzami kept filing malicious lawsuits even after repeated warnings from judges that questioned his tactics:

“Appointing Khuzami was an egregious error in judgment by the SEC. No one with Khuzami’s record of abusing the judicial process and terrorizing helpless homeowners should be ‘rewarded’ with a high government appointment. Did anyone in the Obama administration ‘vet’ Khuzami? Do we have another ‘vetting’ scandal?
