(NEW YORK)(September 16, 2010) I took a couple of weeks off to visit family in Florida and to take a more relaxed view of the current controversies, before all hell broke loose in mid-September. And, much to my surprise, all hell broke loose. Early.

There was the madcap Koran-burning pastor, who turned the world upside down before September 11th. And the demonstrations at the Ground Zero Mosque. And the minute I was out of town Barry Obama started acting up again. On and on it goes.

Well, we’re back. So get ready.

Starting today we will be providing our unique insight on the upcoming election and Pretender Barack Obama's role. Later in the week I hope to announce the results of a “War Council” that was held in Palm Beach during my time off. A major new initiative is on the way in the endless war for the truth and the facts about Barack Obama’s “religion” and place of birth. Aloha Obama!

But let me start with one conclusion, observation, call it what you want, that will serve as the overriding arc for what is to come in the days ahead. Barack Obama has made the 2010 election into a transformative moment in American politics. Most media have not yet grasped this fact. Even though Republicans will be the major beneficiaries of this transformation, most Republicans do not yet appreciate the enormity of what is coming. For better and for worse.

I was channel surfing last night and stumbled across my old friend Lionel from the Tampa Bay area. Twenty years ago Lionel and I used to josh on radio station WFLA. Lionel is one of the few broadcasters that understands what is about to hit the United States. A transformative wave that is going to sweep away much of the existing political order.

I saw such a wave hit in 1964. In the aftermath, President Johnson enacted a massive legislative program in 1965. But Johnson’s reach exceeded his grasp in Viet-Nam. Two years later in 1966 there was a reverse wave that erased the 89th Congress. 1966 led to the chaos of 1968 and the election of President Richard Nixon.

The Watergate wave hit in 1974. Six years later President Ronald Reagan erased the effects of 1974, and then some. Then came 1994 (the most popular frame of reference for 2010 for most cable TV bobbleheads). 2008 erased 1994, and then some.

The 2010 wave is going to be something very big, very unexpected and very upsetting to the established political order.

As usual, readers will agree with some of my views, and disagree with others. But we have a unique insight into what is coming. Just stay with ContrarianCommentary.com and surf the wave. Note and full disclosure: To avoid confusion in the days ahead, let me start with a brief explanation. We will be operating on a two-track approach. Primarily, we will be analyzing national trends. Personally I am also involved in the campaign to defeat Mark Kirk for U. S. Senator in Illinois. So some days will be “national” days; and some days will be “Illinois” days. Hopefully, they will complement each other.
