“During the past couple of days media hypocrisy and corruption have reached a new high, and the American people are now under assault by a left-wing media’s attempt to stage a de facto coup against the American people.” Andy is en route to a Chicago news conference where he will defend Donald Trump and attack Senator Mark Kirk.

“Donald Trump’s vulgar speech decades ago is no surprise. It has been a staple of media controversy since Megyn Kelly’s original question fourteen months ago at the first Republican candidates’ debate. What is new is the way the media are trying to starve the presidential campaign of substance, and are acting as an arm of the Clinton campaign by spewing forth Hillary’s sexual smut about Trump as legitimate campaign coverage.

“The Washington Post reporter who received the latest Trump ‘sex tape’ knew his source. In other words, unlike the claims of the New York Times that an envelope mysteriously appeared in the Times mail room with excerpts from Trump’s tax return, reporter David Farenthold admits he knew his source. Well, who was this ‘known’ source? Obviously a Clinton campaign mudslinger.

“A generation ago, in the 1990’s, Bill Clinton’s sexual adventures in the Oval Office coarsened this nation’s conversation. Today another Clinton, Hillary, is coarsening the nation’s politics by seeking to use sexual smears to defeat Donald Trump. The Clintons are both despicable human beings.

“Let’s look at the reality of what Trump has called a ‘distraction,’ and what is nothing less than Hillary’s effort to cheapen our politics with irrelevant sexual smut.

1. Hypocrisy is in flower, thanks to the Clintons, again

“It is clear that Clinton’s dirt diggers and friends in the media are the source of the latest sex tape, and perhaps there are more to come. But what of it? What is relevant about Donald Trump’s pathetic conversation on a bus eleven years ago? Our free commercial television is saturated with sexual innuendo and increasingly with sexual artifice. Cable television is flooded with sexual images and activity. What, exactly, about Trump’s potty-mouthed nonsense is so essential to our national conversation? Nothing but grabbing more power and money for the Clintons. They are literally defacing our national political season with their obscene activity.

“Hypocrisy is in season. Who was among the first to jump on Trump? Why Jeb Bush of course. But Bush had a mistress in Tallahassee and a full-blown sex scandal when he was governor of Florida. David Letterman has been prominently featured for calling Trump ‘damaged.’ Compared to Letterman, Trump is a choirboy. Letterman was a sexual predator on the stage of his own late-night show. Letterman was notorious for his sexual predations on his staff. Letterman literally had to apologize for his misdeeds. Now he is a ‘conscience’ for men of morality? Letterman is ‘damaged,’ not Trump.

2. The 1960’s are still with us

“Fifty-five years ago I went to work as a busboy in an excusive restaurant to support my ‘family,’ a 1955 Plymouth. Most of the waiters and busboys cracked gross jokes and acted out gross memes. In retrospect, it was what the world looked like in the Mad Men era. Then I went to Illinois to play football. There was real ‘locker room banter’ in Memorial Stadium, not Trump’s pussytalk.

“Donald Trump not only grew up in another era, he grew up two eras ago. His language a decade ago still reflected the period when he was a teenager and college student.

“Hillary also has a potty mouth, but no one mentions that fact. What about Hillary’s swearing and abuse of public servants such as the Secret Service? Silence from the media. Another cover-up.

“Is Trump the only candidate who talks trash? They both do.

3. Trump’s fibbing finally catches up with him

“I first met Trump in 1978 or 79. I see him in my church occasionally, and have been to Mar A Lago. I don’t see him trash talking today. Back in the 70’s? I am sure he did. But most of what Trump has always said was fibbing. He lied about his buildings; do you suppose he didn't exaggerate about his women as well?

“Celebrities do get away with behavior that is scorned by ordinary people. Is that an inaccurate statement worthy of endless repetition on cable TV? Eleven years ago Trump was a celebrity, nothing more. Is it surprising that he said celebrities get special treatment? Not to me. Trump’s language, looked at in isolation a decade latter, is despicable. Looked at as part of his typical theater of banter, exaggeration, fibbing and sheer nonsense, he was merely being in character while trying to impress a lightweight like Billy Bush.

4. The coming backlash and boomerang of the American people

“If Hillary Clinton plans to conduct her campaign for the next month by releasing sex tapes and garbage from the Howard Stern Show - the latest source of ‘news’ on CNN -  and other lurid locations, and the media fosters her filthy strategy of polluting our national conversation, there will be an incredible backlash and boomerang against the media and against Clinton.

“Trump will win the presidency.

“Trump has never denied who he was and what he was; his history of over-the-top behavior is what made him a credible candidate in the first place. But do we really need to listen to Hillary’s continuing release of smut just because she can’t run a campaign and can’t win on her own issues? I don't think the American people will stand for Hillary’s strategy. She is polluting our nation with unnecessary sexuality the same way her husband did a generation ago. The Clinton’s are bad people.

“The fact that the liberal media, which have launched an unprecedented campaign of personal destruction against Trump, are supporting Clinton’s ‘smut strategy’ is disgraceful. Trump’s imbecilic language was maybe worth a brief mention or two. His remarks a decade ago should in no way be allowed to disrupt a discussion of the issues.

5. Hello evangelicals: there is no sinner like a reformed sinner

“Evangelicals know something about sin, and sinners. They know that reformed sinners can be the straightest people of all. I suspect Trump would be a very ‘straight’ president in the White House. He is a reformed sinner.

6. Trump better have a “Checkers” moment ready

“In 1952, vice presidential candidate Richard Nixon rescued his candidacy after a disclosure of a slush fund used to fund his personal expenses. Nixon gave the famous ‘Checkers’ speech and saved himself. I hope Trump has a Checkers strategy ready. He needs one.

7. Finally, I would rather be led by a jerk than a crook

“There is always the chance that I am right, that Trump is a reformed sinner and that he would be a decent president. How could he be worse than Hillary, who is now exposed by Wikileaks as calling for open borders? I don’t know.

“I do know for sure the Clintons are crooks. They have sold out our nation from the Secretary of State’s office the same way they sold out the Lincoln Bedroom when they were in the White House. Let’s be honest: the Clintons are trash.

“Honestly, if I have to choose between being led by a jerk or a crook, I will choose the jerk every time.

“I am not going to condemn most of those who have dumped Trump; many of them weren't supporting him to begin with. It’s a free country and both public officials and candidates are still entitled to run their own campaigns. But I hold a special contempt for Senator Mark Kirk. Kirk is a sick man. One of his arms has to be lashed down to a wheelchair. He can’t walk. He can’t speak. His mind is squiffy. Kirk’s doctor’s concept of ‘cognitive recovery’ is a joke. The Republican Party has no business supporting a sick man for the strenuous job of U. S. Senator. Yet Republicans have no problem supporting a vegetable like Kirk, while they condemn Trump for goofy remarks he made over a decade ago.

“I vote in New Hampshire, so I can’t vote against Kirk. But Kirk is a disgrace to the Republican Party. I would dump Kirk before I would dump Trump.

“Donald is quite right when he says he has done some stupid things. He has. He has done a lot of bad acts. He has committed a lot of sins. But as between the Clinton’s cravenness, that probably cost some Americans their lives because of Hillary’s skeevy server, and Trump, who is a genuine patriot, I will stand by Trump every time.

“Please join me in supporting Donald Trump. He’s not a perfect choice. But he’s clearly the best choice for president,” Andy says. “Bill Clinton disgraced this nation with his sexual appetites and misconduct. Unlike Trump, who is a blabbermouth, Clinton is a rapist. Bill Clinton defiled our national home. Hillary defended her husband the rapist and excoriated his victims; now she is flooding our national conversation with irrelevant sexuality to detract attention from her own failed campaign and failed character.

“Someone should step down as a candidate and withdraw. And that’s Hillary, not Donald. Hillary is the real disgrace.

“As for the media, they are trying to stage a coup and deprive the American people of a rational and informed presidential campaign. The media are carrying Hillary Clinton’s dung, and they should and will be held accountable by decent American voters.”

Chicago News Conference: Federal judge in Dennis Hastert case partially agrees with Andy Martin

Conservative New Hampshire Republican Party activist and law professor Andy Martin will hold a Chicago news conference Thursday, June 11th to discuss his efforts to have Judge Thomas Durkin recused from the case of former Speaker Dennis Hastert. Andy originally exposed Speaker Hastert’s homosexual situation in 2010. Judge Durkin agreed with the claims made in Andy’s prior letter to the judge (the original letter is reflected on the docket sheet) concerning the appearance of bias. Andy is now asking the judge not to allow Hastert and the U. S. Attorney to “waive” the admitted appearance of bias. Andy’s latest letter to Judge Durkin follows below.

Recusal of the Court for appearance of bias

Dear Judge Durkin:

I am following up on my prior letter asking the Court to recuse itself due to the appearance of bias.

I was gratified to see that you agreed with me, that there is indeed an appearance of bias in the eyes of a reasonable person concerning your participation in the current case, when a judge who has previously contributed to the campaign account of a defendant is subsequently assigned to hear a case involving that defendant.

By seeking to have you recused I mean no disrespect. Nevertheless, I believe recusal is mandated, not discretionary based on a potential “waiver” by counsel of the appearance issue.

By way of introduction, I have prior experience challenging judges for bias involving campaign contributions, as well as seeking to be heard as a representative of the broader public interest in contravention of the U. S. Attorney and attorneys for criminal defendants.

In 1978 I exposed that Peoria U. S. District Judge Robert Morgan (as I remember the name) had made a campaign contribution to Senator Charles Percy. Judge Morgan was very irritated when I exposed his contribution because his name was on a supposedly “secret” list of contributors to Senator Percy. The judge conceded the appearance of bias and recused himself.

The Seventh Circuit once wrote an opinion reciting my “legion” of battles with district judges over ethical lapses on the federal bench (the opinion reversed a district judge).

In a more apropos case in 1978, I appeared before U. S. District Judge (now circuit judge) Joel Flaum in a criminal case involving (don’t hold me to the exact names) Tom Bowler and the Brighton-Krug Construction Company. The U. S. Attorney and defendants’ counsel had negotiated a plea agreement, involving a nolo plea that would have negated any use of the plea in subsequent civil litigation.

Despite being somewhat troubled, Judge Flaum agreed with me, allowed me to be heard, and I proceeded to explain why the plea agreement was a bad deal for the public interest. Judge Flaum rejected the plea agreement, the defendants went to trial, they were convicted and a critical arm of the (original) Daley Machine organization was dismembered. As a result of my efforts taxpayers made a significant recovery.

So I go back a long way in seeking to hold federal judges to the highest standards involving the law concerning any appearance of partiality or impropriety regarding the reaction of a “reasonable” member of our society.

I would respectfully request that you follow Judge Flaum’s approach and allow me to be heard in this matter. There is no question that whatever “deal” Speaker Hastert receives from the Court, most people will feel he got off lightly. Mr. Hastert, moreover, is no ordinary defendant; otherwise I would not be seeking to hold you to the punctilio of the law.

I can also cite you chapter and verse when the supposedly neutral assignment “wheel” has been manipulated to steer cases to biased judges. Over the decades federal court has not been immune from political corruption.

Since I first walked into 219 S. Dearborn exactly fifty years ago this month, in June, 1965, my commitment has always been to the public interest.

Fighting for the amorphous rights of the public often encourages others, particularly our highly cynical media in Chicago, to ridicule my legal positions or to accuse me of being on a fool’s errand. But in the sweep of half a century, very few of my predictions, pronouncements or legal positions have been proven unfounded.

I exposed Speaker Hastert’s homosexuality in 2010, as my public blog postings confirm.[1] The media attacked me in 2010 for telling the truth about Speaker Hastert and Mark Kirk. But as you can now see, in due course I was vindicated.

I continue my corruption-fighting efforts with unabated vigor after half a century of devotion to the public interest.

I am flying to Chicago Thursday to lay a foundation for challenging any decision by Your Honor to remain in the case. I earnestly feel that you should not allow your prior contributions to become a distraction involving the Speaker’s prosecution. And while I am aware that judges occasionally let defendants waive conflicts arising out of combined representation, I am not aware of any high-profile case where, once a judge acknowledges that the reasonable person standard applies and that the appearance of bias is present, that counsel may waive that bias.

Defendants have a right to a fair and impartial trial. But so does the general public. The best approach would be for a judge from outside the Northern District to be appointed to sit, but I do not expect that to happen. Given your own prior relationship with the defendant, I respectfully believe that recusal is not discretionary and may not be waived by the parties.

I have emailed a copy of this letter to both the U. S. Attorney’s office and Defendant Hastert’s counsel (see below).

(CHICAGO, IL) (December 19, 2014)  Andy Martin, perhaps the most skilled practitioner of negative politics in America today, will hold a Chicago news conference Friday to give Jeb Bush a “stone cold Chicago welcome” by announcing that Andy is planning to announce that Andy will lead a nationwide effort to defeat Jeb Bush for the Republican presidential nomination (see links #1-#2 below).

Andy is often criticized by national media but he has been a player on the station stage for decades, particularly where negative politics and negative political advertising is concerned.

In 2000, Andy was credited with producing and running a controversial TV ad that cost then Texas Governor George W. Bush the New Hampshire presidential primary. In 2009 Andy began running radio ads that exposed Mark Kirk as a military fraud and also focused on rumors about Kirk’s closeted personal life. The Washington Post and other activists later confirmed and expanded on all of Andy’s factual claims and Kirk was almost defeated. Chicago media attacked Andy for telling the truth, but national media exposed Kirk’s lies. Andy vows to defeat Kirk in 2016.

In 2005 Andy began a campaign to expose lies by Barack Obama, eventually landing Andy on the front page of the New York Times (link #6 below), and earning him more attacks from phonies such as senile billionaire Rupert Murdock.

In November, Andy quietly orchestrated the defeat of Scott Brown for the U. S. Senate in New Hampshire. “Scott Brown wasn’t defeated by Democrats,” Andy notes. “Brown was defeated by conservative Republicans who refused to be bullied by the corrupt Republican Party leadership in New Hampshire. Conservative voters rebelled. Despite a nationwide Republican tide, Brown was defeated when conservatives refused to vote for him. I helped expose all of Brown’s lies, military fraud and other Massachusetts manipulations. Conservatives listened to me, not Brown. (Obviously, there was also negative advertising against Brown by Democrats, but conservatives discount such Democratic attacks.)

“Ironically, truth be told, I have shown greater promise as a ‘vote denier’ than a ‘vote getter’” Andy admits. “But that’s not a problem for me. I am concerned with the purity and integrity of the political process, not with my own personal power. I predicted, on Bill O’Reilly’s Factor show in 2009, and on WMUR-TV in my ads in New Hampshire, that George Bush wanted to attack Iraq, and he did, with devastating consequences for the U.S. New Hampshire voters listened to me, and denied Bush a primary victory, though Bush went on to win the presidency and Americans suffered the consequences of another Bush Family war.

“Now I am summoned, again, to expose one of the great frauds in U. S. politics: Jeb Bush. Jeb Bush is a creation of liberal media manipulation - the same way they promoted Scott Brown. Bush is not a creation of conservative political reality.

“Americans will never vote for a presidential candidate when that will put a First Lady in the White House who is a Mexican native and an advocate of amnesty and illegal immigration. Conservatives will stay home, the same way they did in 2012. A presidential candidate doesn’t have to be 100% conservative to attract conservative votes. But conservatives will not vote for a fraud or hypocrite such as Bush or Brown.

“Bush’s wife was born in Mexico and she supports the Mexican invasion of the United States. Both of them do.

“How is Columba Bush going to campaign in a presidential election? What is she going to say when she is asked about illegal immigration? That it is an ‘act of love’ for Mexicans to invade the U.S? Bush could keep his wife under wraps in Tallahassee; he can’t hide her in a presidential race or in the White House. That’s the simple reality of politics.

“In 2016 we are going to have a great national debate over illegal immigration and Mexico's hostile policies towards the United States. Mexico could seal the border in a heartbeat, but refuses to do so, blaming demands from U. S. drug addicts for the illegal invasion. Mexican leaders are arrogant to a fault. Where do Columba Bush's loyalties lie? With her home country, or with Americans? The American people have had enough. We are in an undeclared, non-shooting war with Mexico. Corrupt Mexican leaders are allowing foreigners to use Mexican territory to invade the U. S. Will conservatives vote to place a Mexican-American First Lady in the White House? Very, very unlikely.

“Jeb Bush’s political prospects in Florida were so dismal that his own son left Florida and moved to Texas, where the Tex-Mex connection is more acceptable. Bush’s own son chose not to run in Florida. So much for Jeb’s Florida coattails or influence.

“So who is Jeb Bush kidding? Bozos in Illinois? Corporate executives in Chicago? Who is promoting this colossal hypocrite? Big money, big business, big hypocrites. The same big shots that promised NAFTA would not cost Americans their jobs. Big Business lied, American jobs died. Just ask communities in Iowa, Illinois and Michigan that lost jobs to Mexico. Oh, Iowa. Nice state, see you soon. Ask Iowans how they feel about exporting their jobs.

“In 1993, over twenty (20) years ago, I exposed Jeb Bush as a ‘rent-seeker,’ someone who uses his family name to collect ‘rent’ by renting out his name for cash. He was helping sell pumps in Africa.

“In 2002, I exposed how hypocritical Jeb and his wife Columba were when they promoted anti-drug efforts while their own daughter was a drug addict (see link #5). I embarrassed Jeb by contacting his daughter in the Orange County (Fla.) jail. She was a neglected and abused child.

“When Bush was Governor, he ran a corrupt administration. I will release the first tranche of details on December 24th.

“By opposing Jeb I am standing up for conservatives and I am standing up against the corrupt Big Money people and big shot ‘leaders’ in the Republican Party that keep giving us big failures as presidential candidates,” Andy says.

“For the last ten years I have made Barack Obama miserable by telling the truth about him and I have stood up to the liberal liars and media slashers that have tried to intimidate me.

“Mark Kirk is a disgrace to the Republican Party,” Andy charges. “I have written to Senator Kirk and asked him to step down when his current term expires. All of the claims I make in the letter, which follows below, are documented by a series of links at the bottom of this article. Even after his 2010 scandals, Kirk continues to lie on his senate web page that he has “deployed” on active duty service when DOD regulations (links below) prohibit such a false claim.

I find that you are again blatantly misrepresenting and inflating your military record. In addition, there are personal issues that make it obscene for you to be fundraising for reelection using the name of Michelle Obama. For the good of the Republican Party you should announce that you are not running for reelection so that the party can begin the selection process for your replacement now.

1. Misrepresenting your military record

I began investigating your false military record in 2009, see letter posted at www.MarkKirk.us. Later you went on to describe for Chicago media imaginary battles in Afghanistan in which you participated. I documented your fraudulent activity during January, 2010 but the local media preferred to engage in a cover-up until the Chicago cover-up was exposed by the Washington Post in June, 2010. In short, you have utter contempt for the truth, utter contempt for stolen valor and very possibly a serious psychological and/or psychiatric difficulty that makes you a compulsive liar.

You were elected in 2010 because the Democrats chose to run a Mobbed-up, Crime Syndicate-linked “banker” as your opponent. I seriously doubt you will be so lucky next time. Trying to fund raise off the possible candidacy of Michelle Obama is thus gross and obscene.

2. Your use of false names and alias’

You registered at a hospital under a false name (Hillel Underwood). That may be a violation of federal law. Although you tried to claim that a Senate employee encouraged you to do so, a search of senate records and rules provides no justification for the claim that the Senate’s employees encourage false hospital registrations or the use of alias’ in medical or any other matters. I would ask that you disclose all of the alias’ you have used and where you have used them since 2000.

3. The allegations of your homosexuality continue in a changed climate for gay acceptance

To be clear at the outset, I have never accused you of homosexual behavior and I do not do so at this time. In 2009-2010 I merely pointed to allegations of your homosexual activity posted by your Lake County neighbors, the late Col. Ray True and the late Jack Roeser. I have no personal knowledge of your homosexual status vel non.

I was attacked by the completely mendacious Chicago media for truthfully drawing attention to public postings accusing you of being homosexual.

Once again, I merely draw attention to what is posted on the Internet. When you voted against repeal of DADT the gay community attacked you for hypocrisy, which was also the basis for Mike Rogers’ outing. My guess is that if you continue to remain closeted, you will again be attacked for the fact of being closeted.

Since 2010 there has been a sea change in how Americans view homosexuality. In neighboring Wisconsin, an openly lesbian senator has been elected as your colleague. Same-sex marriage has gained widespread acceptance. In other words, society has generally moved from a gays-as-closeted attitude to an open acceptance of homosexuals in public life.

There is strong opposition within the politically active gay community to closeted males who deny their sexuality. While the matter has yet to be tested in 2016, if you run for reelection I am relatively certain you will face opposition from gay activists for remaining closeted in the current environment of acceptance.

All in all your pretensions to reelection are an embarrassment to the Republican Party. Instead of acting as a faux candidate and seeking to raise cash off Michelle Obama, why not do the right thing and retire at the end of your term so the party may begin a search for your replacement now.
