Andy Martin says Jim Nalepa is unfit to serve as chairman of the Illinois Republican Party

Andy Martin, who has been a leading corruption fighter in Illinois since he was a student at the University Illinois College of law, says that the Illinois Republican Party is corrupt because the indirect manner in which the party’s leadership – the state central committee – is chosen is undemocratic. Andy says one of the candidates to serve as state party chairman, Jim Nalepa, is a “delusional jerk.” Andy continues to be committed to fighting corruption in Illinois although he now resides in New Hampshire. Andy also notes that U. S. Senator Mark Kirk is again making false claims that Kirk is a combat veteran; Andy says Kirk and Nalepa are “perfect pair.”

Dear Illinois Republican:



I am no longer involved in Illinois Republican politics. The internal politics of the party is corrupt because the “leadership” of the party is not elected by the party voters but is instead imposed on Republican voters by an undemocratic and unrepresentative “leadership.” The result of this undemocratic selection process, which was originally imposed by Governor Jim Thompson to make himself an absolute ruler, has been a disaster.



The recent machinations involving Pat Brady are instructive. Brady was the worst party chairman of either party in the nation. Brady single-handedly defeated the Illinois Republican Party in 2010, and he again led the party to defeat in 2012. Brady’s removal had nothing to do with “gay marriage.” Brady was a crook who surrendered his law license and was working to defeat, not elect, Republicans.



Now the party is choosing Brady's “successor.” Days away from the “vote” no one knows whether the committee will meet openly or in secret. No one knows how the “nominees” were selected to replace Brady. Is this any way to run a party? Unless and until Republican voters can directly elect the membership of their state committee this travesty of machine politics will continue.



Having left Illinois politics a couple of years ago, I don’t have a dog in the Brady-successor race.



One of the candidates, however, Jim Nalepa, would be a disaster for the party. Nalepa is being promoted by various individuals because he is a “speaker.” The only time I saw Nalepa speak he was incoherent and his “joke” bombed.

“Unfortunately, ‘exploratory’ senate candidate Jim Nalepa continues to inflate and distort his military service. Because Nalepa has made a virtual career of being a ‘West Point graduate,’ the fact that he distorts what he did during his brief mandatory service on active duty is doubly distressing and embarrassing to him.



“In response to calls from an area newspaper, Nalepa continues to play fast and loose with the truth.



“First, Nalepa was accused in an e-mail to my campaign of claiming he had completed Ranger training when there is no evidence he ever completed the program and earned the Ranger designation. Is the accusation true, or not true, Jim?



“Second, Nalepa landed on Grenada long after combat operations, which were mercifully brief, had ended. There was no ‘combat’ going on when Nalepa arrived in Grenada. The ‘combat’ was in Nalepa’s mind.



“Finally, Nalepa continues to seek to bamboozle the public by equating any service in a ‘war zone’ with being a ‘combat veteran’ (see above link). Nalepa has been living his dream for over 20 years.



“Nalepa has never disclosed his MOS while he served his brief mandatory commitment in the army. He should do so to avoid any confusion that the Army considered him assigned to a line company.



“Even in Iraq, where the front lines are blurred, the U. S. Army has been very careful about issuing the Combat Infantryman's Badge (CIB) to solders. Was Nalepa awarded a CIB? If so, he should show the award certificate.



“Support units do not automatically become ‘combat’ units merely by arriving in a zone where hostilities have ended, as they did in Grenada, or in Iraq, where hostilities continue. In Iraq, where support units have been exposed to combat, some qualified individuals, but not everyone, has received a new metal badge to show the support person was engaged in action. http://www.army.mil/symbols/combatbadges/Action.html?story_id_key=7285



“Although Nalepa mounts his pseudo-soap box and tries to claim that question about his inflated and distorted military service do a ‘disservice’ to current veterans, exactly the opposite is true. It is Nalepa himself who has pumped up his military record in Walter Mitty-style that has done a disservice to men and women who served in real combat; he has been doing this for decades and it is time Jim Nalepa came down to earth and faced the truth. He is not a combat veteran. Period.



“As the recipient of a free West Point education, Nalepa was required to serve a mandatory period on active duty. He served his required time, and shortly thereafter left the service. We honor Jim for his brief service; he dishonors himself by perpetuating that fiction that he is a combat veteran.



“Particularly as one who criticized Senator John Kerry for inflating his military service, Nalepa should know better than to do likewise.



“As a professional headhunter, Nalepa should know what the penalty is for inflating a resume: ‘you’re out.’”

In closing, let me say that Illinois is a great state that has been raped by the corrupt politicians of both parties. What makes fighting corruption very difficult is that the laws are written to protect corruption. For example, the state central committee in the Republican Party can be chosen in secret, with no voter input, by a handful of operators. Democracy does not exist. By contrast, in January a new New Hampshire Republican Party chairman was elected by delegates who were openly selected in a state meeting that was conducted in public. The process wasn’t perfect but it was worlds better than the way Brady’s successor is being chosen.



Nevertheless, I remain committed to fighting corruption in Illinois and we retain an office in Chicago for that purpose.



I will be eternally grateful to the People of Illinois for all of the opportunities they provided to me over the decades. I hope in some small way I was able to repay them; I don’t think I ever could. But all of you will always be in my prayers.



In my opinion, electing Nalepa would be a mistake for the reasons stated above. It’s your call.

Dear Illinois Republican:



From the time I was a law student at the University of Illinois right down to today I have been a leading corruption fighter in Illinois. If you go to www.AndyMartin.com you can see how I led the fight to purge the Democratic Party of crime syndicate influence and helped send mob Democrats to federal prison.



But as an Illinois Republican I found myself in a party that was becoming increasingly corrupt. Party “insiders” were using a series of state statutes, originally orchestrated by former Governor Jim Thompson, to centralize party power in his hands, to prevent internal party democracy from flourishing. I decided I needed a change and starting in 2010 began a gradual move back to the state of my forbearers, New Hampshire.



I deeply love the state of Illinois, and will be eternally grateful for all that the state has given me and done for my family. But there comes a point when you have to say “enough.” When Party leaders such as Pat Brady and Mark Kirk are systematically destroying the party to retain their own personal fiefdoms, it’s is time to go. So I left, joining others who had left before me. (Our National/Illinois corruption-fighting office remains open, however, so you should feel free to report Illinois corruption to me on a continuing basis.)



New Hampshire is not perfect and – no surprise – I am fighting corruption in New Hampshire. But New Hampshire does not have the oppressive state-created legal structure for the state party that prevents party democracy. In New Hampshire, state committee leaders are openly elected. The process is not rigged in advance. In Illinois, state law creates an indirect, boss-dominated structure for the state party [see § 10 ILCS 5/7-9. County central committee; county and State conventions].



What finally motivated me to move to New Hampshire was that New Hampshire had neither a state sales tax nor a state income tax. Think about it. And, there was one more thing. When the state party closed its offices (under allegedly “great” fund-raiser Pat Brady) and moved the party’s headquarters “office” into Mark Kirk’s office, it was clear that the state party had ceased to exist as an independent organization.



I am delighted that some Illinois state committee members are finally trying to oust Chairman Pat Brady. Pat Brady has done more to damage the Illinois Party than any other individual.



I have a bias against Pat Brady, and I will discuss the source of my bias in Part B of this letter. First, I want to give you an impartial response to some of the nonsense claims Brady is floating.



A. WHY PAT BRADY SHOULD BE REMOVED AS STATE CHAIRMAN



1. Brady claims “Mike Madigan” is behind the effort to oust Brady as chairman. (Please see link #1 below). I don’t think Brady is on Madigan’s payroll - but Brady should be. Brady is Madigan’s greatest ally and asset. Madigan doesn’t need a few Republican votes to pass gay marriage. That’s a sideshow. But Brady’s ongoing efforts to sabotage the Republican Party and to make the party an adjunct to Mark’s Kirk’s compromised operations is what really helps the Democrats. So, no, Madigan is not behind the effort to oust Brady. Republicans are.



2. Pat Brady has bamboozled LaSalle County Republicans and other gullible organizations in the party into believing that Brady has voiced his “personal” or “private” opinions on gay marriage (please see Link #2 below).



First, the Republican Party state committee is not a private organization. The committee structure is created by and mandated by state law (see the state law citation above). The party’s central committee is a “quasi-private” organization performing a private function by virtue of a grant through state law.



Second, there is a large body of law on conflicts between “private” and “personal“ opinions and how to resolve the conflicts between personal views and organizational duties. Most often the “private vs. public” issue arises with public employees. Courts have ruled that when public employees voice general or unrelated opinions, they have a right to do so. When public employees criticize their public employers or try to involve themselves in public disputes related to their duties, they lose that freedom.



So Pat Brady is free to have a “personal view” on his favorite breakfast cereal, or his “personal view” of Republican politics in California, or whatever. But when Brady voices views and takes stands contrary to his own Republican organization, he does not have a right to play word games. He has no right to “private” views when he is performing his quasi-public state duty. The Illinois Republican State Central Committee is created by state law to manage the party’s affairs and to set policy (state law mandates a state convention, for example, and regulates how delegates should be selected).



In fact, the state law under which today’s meeting has been scheduled, § 10 ILCS 5/7-9 (h), is a provision of state law, not “party law and not Robert’s Rules of Order.”



Because parties adopt platforms to set party policy, the state committee would be fully within its rights to remove Brady for attacking the party’s state policy as adopted by the state convention.



B. THE BASIS OF MY BIAS AGAINST PAT BRADY



1. Pat Brady has pulled the “expressing my personal opinion” scam before. In 2012 Brady tried to endorse candidates in the primaries, claiming that he was expressing his “personal opinion.” But the reason Brady has been so bold with his dirty tactics is because he got away with it in 2010.



2. In 2009 I filed for the Republican primary nomination for U. S. Senator in 2010. Mark Kirk had already purchased the nomination for $50,000 in cash to Brady & Co. Kirk had begun his castration of the Republican Party leadership.



3. I did some “opposition research” on Kirk. Jack Roeser, who now masquerades in 2013 as a supporter of Bruce Rauner, in 2009 was obsessed with opposing Mark Kirk. Roeser had a radio program. He placed a tape on the Internet from the radio program in which Roeser accused Kirk of being a homosexual. I never accused Kirk of being homosexual, though many others have. I just pointed to Roeser’s tape which could be heard on the Internet (it has since been removed but I still have a copy).



I also researched Kirk’s claims that he was some sort of military hero and macho man. Unlike some candidates who talk trash, I always document claims and link to facts or evidence (look at the seven [7] links below). I put up a web site on Kirk’s bogus reputation (please see link #3) and I specifically pointed to a military letter showing there was no record of Kirk’s official service in Afghanistan (please see link #4).



During December, 2009 and January, 2010 I presented the facts about Kirk to the public. Pat Brady immediately attacked me for exposing the truth about Kirk. Kirk won the nomination. But, as I had predicted, Kirk’s lies would come back to haunt him and the Illinois Republican Party.



In June 2010 a homosexual activist formally “outed” Kirk (please see Link #5). The Washington Post exposed Kirk as a liar who had awarded himself imaginary decorations and “reported” on imaginary battles to Chicago media (please see link #6). Kirk was and remains a total fraud. In 2010, a landslide year for Republicans, Kirk was barely elected against a mob banker who helped finance Crime Syndicate hoodlums.



The bottom line: Brady had used his position as state chairman to suppress the truth about Kirk, and had willingly and knowingly misled Republican voters into supporting a fraudulent and flawed candidate, Kirk. Brady claimed he was only expressing his “personal” views when he attacked my campaign. In 2010 other members of the state committee did nothing to protect the primary process and remained mute.



C. BRADY’S LAST GASP EFFORTS TO DESTROY REPUBLICANS



The “usual suspects” from Jim Edgar to Judy Topinka are opposing Brady’s ouster. No surprise there. And Jim Thompson, who originally denied Republicans a vote for their state committee leaders, is also backing Brady. Rumors about Thompson abound.



After the 2010 election Brady packed up the Republican Party’s offices and moved them into Mark Kirk’s operation. The Illinois Republican Party ceased to function as an independent political organization.



Now (March, 2013) Brady has issued an anonymous “legal memo” to a Democratic-leaning newsletter (Capitol Fax) claiming he can’t be removed (please see link #7). An organization has the inherent power to remove a faithless leader for cause. There is abundant cause to remove Brady.



Every day that Pat Brady is in control of the Republican Party Republicans suffer. Can Illinois Republicans win in 2014? If Brady survives an ouster, fuggedaboutit.



Is the “get rid of Brady” movement really about gay marriage? Probably not. For years people have been watching Brady screw up the party and hand the ball to Democrats, and said/done nothing. Finally, it got to be too much. “Gay marriage” became the pretext to remove Brady. Removing Brady for opposing the party’s platform is certainly “cause” to oust Brady. But in my opinion the movement to oust Brady has been gathering steam for years. People don’t want the Republican Party to be in the back pocket of Mark Kirk. Kirk’s career is over (watch for my reports next week).



It is time to put an end to “stooge” chairmen in the Illinois Republican Party. It is time for Pat Brady to go. Three cheers for the state committee members that are meeting today (Saturday) to remove Brady. And while they are at it, they should take steps to adopt an elected state central committee, not an indirectly-appointed one (a movement I have strongly supported).



In closing



Because I have joined the list of those who have given up on the management of Illinois, I am expressing these views as helpful observations to those who remain behind.

In 2010 they couldn't even stop a governor that promised to raise taxes if he was reelected (Pat Quinn). The state legislative leadership is corrupt, incompetent and just plain pathetic.



“Illinois Democrats have scorn and contempt for Republicans.



“At a recent Republican ‘state convention,’ delegates were ‘elected’ in secret, in violation of state law. The ‘highlight’ of the ‘convention’ was childish name-calling by Brady. No real voting was allowed by the delegates and party reform efforts were stifled and stymied.



“While the ICRC is far from a powerful operation, the fact that any conservatives has the guts and grit to stand up and expose the obvious, that the Republican Party is corrupt from Pat Brady on down to Randy Pollard and his downstate punks, stands as a testament to the painful truth and reality. Most self-proclaimed ‘conservatives’ just wait quietly for any crumbs that fall from the high tables of corruption in Chicago.

(CHICAGO)(June 8, 2012) Illinois corruption-fighter and Internet Powerhouse Andy Martin will hold a Chicago news conference today, Friday, June 8th 2012 to announce that he has asked federal prosecutors to open a grand jury investigation into the “no show job” Senator Mark Kirk has awarded Illinois Republican Party (“IRP”) factotum Randy Pollard as a “political kickback.”



Andy’s bombshell disclosure comes in the middle of the IRP’s state convention today and Saturday in Tinley Park.



Federal employees are prohibited from doing political work on federal time and senators are prohibited from using their federal payrolls to subsidize “employees” whose principal role is political activity.



“I have asked federal prosecutors to convene a grand jury investigation into the role played by IRP political goon Randy Pollard in Mark Kirk’s senate office (see links below). Illinois Republicans have a long history of political corruption; just ask Deb Detmers, John Shimkus and George Ryan, all accomplished crooks. But federal payrolls are not supposed to be used to fund political operatives. Former Cook County Treasurer Ed Rosewell was prosecuted for having a similar ‘ghost payroll.’



“Randy Pollard has no qualifications to collect a $65,000 federal paycheck. Pollard is a Republican Party goon who leads the ‘public employee caucus’ of the state Republican Party. These people use state politics to obtain no-show jobs and to advance themselves through political patronage. But federal law prohibits using federal funds in a like fashion.



“So what does Pollard to do earn $65,000 as an ‘outreach coordinator?’ What is he ‘coordinating?’ Pollard was a prison guard for 25 years. So he is collecting a state pension check as well as a federal paycheck for Kirk's no-show job.



“I don’t doubt that Pollard makes an occasional political appearance for Kirk. We track Pollard’s whereabouts. But are those appearances worth $65,000? Or is Pollard’s role primarily just to collect a paycheck for a non-show job, as payback for having helped rig the 2010 primary to benefit Kirk? Pollard doesn't work in Springfield, doesn’t live in Springfield and has no visible duties or serious job description. So why does Kirk list Pollard on Kirk’s Springfield payroll?



“Pollard, on the other hand, is virtually a full-time factotum of the IRP. In other words, Kirk is using his federal payroll to subsidize local politics, the same way Kirk’s offices have become the de facto headquarters of the local state IRP. The IRP no longer has any offices of its own and works out of a post office box in Chicago.



“The reason Republicans have forfeited leadership of Illinois government for two decades is that they have forfeited their own ethics and morals. Republicans love to prattle and post embarrassing news stories and preachy comments about Democrats on their ‘weareillinois.org’ web page, but the IRP is just as corrupt and just as sleazy as Illinois Democrats. The state is sinking in a sea of bipartisan sleaze.



“I had planned to start ‘Kirk Week’ earlier this week, but fighting the corruption and cronyism at the IRP state convention took more time than I expected. We are now proceeding with Kirk Week. Stand by for more disclosures.”



Andy will release a copy of his letter to federal prosecutors at this afternoon’s news conference.

Dear Republican:

Tomorrow (Friday) the Illinois Republican Party (“IRP”) will begin a two-day “state convention.” The convention may be illegal.

The list of delegates is secret. Who are we hiding the names and addresses of delegates from? Why the secrecy? (Secrecy is a regular feature of IRP state conventions.) Sadly, corrupt Republican Party insiders are hiding the names and addresses of delegates from us, ordinary Main Street Republicans. These crooked insiders don’t want us to know who the delegates are so we can ask the delegates to let our voices be heard. It’s as simple and sad as that. Party insiders are trying to muzzle Republican voices.

More importantly, state law is blatantly being violated. Illinois state law requires delegates to be chosen at a county convention. (You can read the state law in my lawsuit attached to this email.) Almost all of the current delegates were not chosen at a county convention. Their appointment was illegal. (Note to potential criminal defendants: if you try to doctor your county records to falsify when and how your delegates were chosen for the 2012 state convention, falsification of your party’s local records could land you a taxpayer-paid vacation next to Governors George Ryan or Rod Blagojevich.)

I have filed a lawsuit to invalidate both the secret list of delegates and to reverse the unlawful delegate selection procedure. I am asking the court to order a new state convention with delegates lawfully and properly selected in accordance with the clear requirements of state law.

Lawsuits are often complex and confusing to read. But my lawsuit is simple and straightforward. I have attached a copy of my lawsuit to this email. Take a look.

Is there a pattern here? The facts indicate there is. The insiders have tried to choose a congressional candidate—in secret. The insiders have chosen “delegates”—in secret. They are conducting a convention with delegates chosen in violation of state law.

Do the insiders think we are stupid?  Actually, they do. They think they can get away with corruption and manipulation because they have been getting away with corruption and manipulation.

Are you willing to stand up and fight for direct election of a state central committee that would be accountable to local Republican voters in each congressional district? I am fighting to achieve representative leadership with state central committee members chosen in a primary election instead of being chosen by party insiders behind closed doors.

Are you willing to join the fight to protect your vote and your right to choose who speaks for you? If not, why not? Why would you want to devalue your own vote by letting someone else cast a “vote” for you?

I’m doing my share to fight to make the Republican Party the majority party in this state. The insiders are fighting to keep their perquisites and privileges and insider deals. They don’t care about a Republican “minority” or “majority” as long as they collect their own personal goodies. Under the current corrupt leadership Illinois has gone from a Red State to a Blue State. The IRP used to have its own offices in Chicago and Springfield. Today the IRP does not have an independent office anywhere. The IRP is led and run out of a post office box in Chicago (check http://www.weareillinois.org/contact/ to confirm that fact).

Again I ask, where do you stand? I ask you to Stand Up for Illinois. I ask you to Stand Up for direct election of state central committee members. I ask you to Stand Up for democracy.  If you don’t, the insiders will take your right to vote away from you. In some measure, they already have.

Martin says that new allegations that “Kinky” Kirk frequents gay bars and “trendy gay nightspots”, and the accusation by Kirk’s former wife that Kirk has some sort of dominatrix relationship with a political consultant, are a ticking time bomb for every Republican.

“I am no friend of Mark Kirk,” Martin states. “But the fact that I am a political opponent of Kirk’s does not detract from the undisputed facts. Even a political opponent can get his facts right.

“Last December I disclosed ‘rumors’ about Kirk’s personal life. I clearly labeled them as rumors. The corrupt Chicago media attacked me for telling the truth, and lied to their viewers and readers by vouching for Kirk and seeking to discredit my evidence.

“The passage of only a few months has verified and validated all of my original allegations.

“I was also the first person to disclose that Kirk was a military fraud. I produced documented proof. Again the media lied to their viewers and readers and concealed the facts even though I backed up my charges with Navy documents. Mark Kirk’s former wife’s latest confessions may force Kirk to resign as a senate candidate. Illinois corruption fighter and Republican maverick Andy Martin says the latest disclosures of Mark Kirk’s tortured private life may force Kirk to quit. Martin says the claim by Kirk’s former wife that Kirk is controlled by a “Svengali” woman who destroyed his marriage is only a small sluice of the cascade of new information coming into the public domain in the days ahead. Kimberly Vertoli’s admission she was Kirk’s political partner, and that she is a pro-Obama hard-leftist, may doom Kirk as a candidate.

Let me start with a confession: Just over a year ago, in July 2009, I tried to tell Mark Kirk why he should not run for senator. I wrote a series of columns pointing out where we would be going. Even then we already had investigators fanning out and finding gaps in his military career. Although we made no disclosures at the time, we were serving Freedom of Information requests on federal agencies. We had all kinds of leads about Kirk’s personal life, and knew that the truth would eventually ooze to the surface. But in keeping with my “just the facts, ma’am” standard of accuracy, we kept digging for concrete evidence.

Later, in December, 2009 and January 2010 we devastated Kirk with facts and evidence. We loaded evidence from the Navy on our anti-Kirk web site, disclosing Kirk had never served in Afghanistan (hard evidence, go to www.markkirk.us). Ironically, some morons in the media said we were doing Kirk a favor by disclosing the truth about his secret life. Some favor. We ran ads drawing attention to “rumors” about Kirk’s homosexuality that were there to be heard on the Internet (hard evidence). We went back and researched the Mark Kirk-Dennis Hastert-Mark Foley connection (hard evidence). And, most devastatingly, we disclosed that Mark Kirk was a military fraud and imposer (hard evidence).

In keeping with the corrupt journalism at the Chicago Tribune and Sun-Times, I was attacked for telling the truth about Kirk. Pat Brady, who until recently was protecting a predatory homosexual fiend in the Chicago Young Republicans, Jeremy Rose, attacked me for exposing Kirk (and no doubt for helping expose Rose). Rose in turn was linked to--no surprise here--Mark Kirk.

But dumb Illinois Republican voters were not in a mood to hear the truth before the primary. They told me “thanks but no thanks,” and insisted on nominating Kirk for the senate. Now they are paying the price. You can accuse me of sour grapes if you want, but I am not motivated by sour grapes. I am motivated by a passion for the facts and the truth.

Unless and until ordinary Republicans rise up and reject the slimy candidates promoted by crooks such as Pat Brady, the Bradys of politics will keep supporting garbage like Kirk for high office.

I also investigated Kirk’s “divorce” and his “marriage” to Kimberly Vertoli. Kirk’s unsuccessful marriage was not in itself an issue; all of us have problems with former spouses and girlfriends (or boyfriends). That’s life. But I do have over forty years of investigative experience, as well as family law knowledge (taught the course). I came to believe that the Kirk marriage was a sham. Knowingly or unknowingly, Kimberly Vertoli had been a “beard” for Kirk’s private life.

It is also true that former intimates and spouses can continue to be on friendly terms. I was surprised, however, when Vertoli appeared at Kirk’s senate announcement a year ago. She was too effusive, and too defensive, to be real. We continued investigating.

Wednesday Vertoli dropped the “McCracken” bomb on Kirk. Ironically I had just had a similar experience with a former female friend. In denying one transgression she had confessed to a separate offense. Reluctantly, I was compelled to address that miscreance. Kimberly Vertoli was caught in the same web of her own lies Wednesday.

Vertoli said she would have still been married to Kirk if it was no for the “Svengali” Debbie McCracken. Why didn’t Vertoli tell us the truth in August, 2009? Vertoli accused McCracken of destroying her marriage and was quoted as saying: “KV: I think that if Dodie McCracken had not continued to be in our lives, we probably would still be married.”

That’s a pretty strong accusation. There was no hint of “another woman” in August, 2009. What Vertoli perhaps did not realize is that in making a clean breast of her views this week, she was essentially repudiating everything she said in August, 2009 and branding her comments at Kirk’s announcement ceremony as nothing but a pack of lies.

Vertoli also disclosed “we decided together to run” (for Congress), thereby adding more weight to her claimed role in his early electoral career. Vertoli said that Kirk’s homosexuality was not “accurately explained” as homosexuality (more on that Friday, see below); that’s a Clintonesque denial.

Vertoli exposed herself this week as an extreme leftist who intends to vote for Barack Obama in 2012, is a militant supporter of gay rights and may even be a lesbian herself.

All of this brouhaha is happening in August, when there is traditionally little (dare I use the term) “hard” news, which naturally places “soft” news at a premium. Kirk was already unable to campaign, except in small downstate burgs, without being asked about his imaginary teaching career and imaginary military career. Now he has McCracken to explain as well; he also has to explain why his wife who supported him in 2009 no longer is planning to back him in 2010 (she says it’s because of Kirk’s lack of support for homosexuals).

Kirk should have listened to me. I had a better understanding of why he should not run than he did.

Please fasten your seat belts; the Kirkster’s sexual charades have a lot more to come in the way of truth-telling and fact-revealing. Remember that others claimed they had evidence of Kirk’s homosexuality, and that the Giannoulias camp all along had a “homosexual” campaign ready to run against Kirk in the summer of 2010 (those predictions were made others, and not by me, in December, 2009!)

Hint, hint: Andy plans to be at Republican Day of the State Fair to make Republicans listen to what they refused to acknowledge last year.

Ironically, Pat Brady and Mark Kirk could have avoided all of this tsouris. I warned Brady that if he ran a dirty campaign against me in support of Kirk, Brady and Kirk would pay. They ran a crooked primary, and they are paying for it. If they had run an honest election, I would have supported the winner.

Amazingly, you don’t hear any calls for Kirk to resign. Yet. That’s because he is part of the corrupt “Combine.” When Jack Ryan asked to have sex with his wife (his wife!!!), Judy Topinka had Ryan flushed away in days. In the Illinois Republican party, sex with your own wife is a no-no; homosexual activity is acceptable. And they wonder why they lose elections.

Illinois Republicans and Chicago’s corrupt media did not want to believe the truth about Kirk when it was revealed before the primary. Now they are being forced to listen to the truth and
the facts, and to watch Kirk’s career careen into oblivion.

(CHICAGO)(August 4, 2010) Last week a blog that was formerly very closely associated with corrupt Illinois Republican Party leader Pat Brady stated that they had “documentation” linking Mark Kirk to the Illinois Republican Party sex scandal. Read their own words for yourself and see if you agree with me.

Here is what they wrote:

Also this weekend we were provided with documentation on further collusion up the GOP ladder of command that proves members of Mark Kirk’s Senate campaign were complicit in this coverup, in pay grades higher than Roupas. It’s damaging stuff, which we don’t want to hand over to the Media, because the last thing we want to see is Senator Giannoulias. We’re giving Pat Brady until the end of this week to end this scandal by forcing needed resignations in the Cook County GOP. If that doesn’t happen, then we’re going to have to come forward with what we know…and it goes all the way up to Kirk himself.

As of today, HillBuzz.org has failed to deliver on their promise to release documentation if Lee Roupas was not removed as Cook County Republican Chair by last Friday. Roupas is still Chairman and no documents have been released. Since the original link above, the controversy has escalated with claims that Pat Brady has made anti-gay statements, triggering demands for Brady’s dismissal. But still no “documentation.”

Pat Brady is heading for a Republican National Committee meeting in Kansas City later this week. Brady’s defense in KC will be that “nothing happened” and that if anything happened, “it’s been dealt with.” Brady denies making anti-gay slurs.

As my readers know, my integrity is my currency. I publicized the claim by HillBuzz.org that they had “documentation.” That documentation has yet to surface. With me, I follow the truth, and only the truth. I don’t like to point out that Kirk’s critics have failed to deliver on their promise to release documentation, but that’s the fact. What gives?

I would rather be honest and point out a default by Kirk’s critics than let my readers believe I would endorse the tactic of making promises to release information and then failing to do so.

My own independent investigation into the Republican Party’s sex scandal is not linked to HillBuzz.org, and I will be releasing more information today after the Lake Forest Day Parade at a scheduled news conference.

As for HillBuzz.org, it would seem that they have reached a “put up or shut up” point in their attacks. If they do not actually have the Kirk “documentation,” they never should have lied and said they did. If they do have the Kirk documents, then the HillBuzz.org deadline for action has passed, and still no documents.

If you have information about any of this, by all means call my offices and ask to speak to an investigator. In the meantime, I am merely pointing out that someone broke a promise to produce “documentation” if certain conditions were not met, and the conditions have not been met. That’s a no-no in my book.

As of today, Pat Brady and Mark Kirk (and Lee Roupas) have won a round against HillBuzz.org. And that’s a fact.

“That’s a pretty impressive record of truth-telling in just the past seven months.

“We also told Pat Brady that if he ran a rigged, ‘dirty’ primary, we would take down Mark Kirk. Brady ran a crooked primary election, and he is paying the price for his dirty politics. HillBuzz.org and I disagree on Brady. Brady is just as crooked and sleazy as they come. Brady is a cancer that is eating away at the integrity of every Illinois Republican voter.

“I don’t care what a person’s sexual orientation is,” Martin continues. “Everyone should be welcome in both major political parties. But we cannot lie to the public and lie to each other. The potential for blackmail by mendacious Democrats is simply too great. I am not against Mark Kirk because he is gay. I am against Kirk because he is being blackmailed because of his private life, and jeopardizing the Republican Party’s chance of victory. I am against Mark Kirk because he is a liar and imposter.

“It is obvious that the Republican Party is more conservative than the Democrats. But we are also burdened with a surplus of hypocrisy as well, as the ongoing Rose-Roupas scandal confirms.

“I am certainly a party animal. But when you party with people at a political party celebration or events you owe everyone the highest standards of behavior and decorum. Jeremy Rose was incapable of controlling his behavior in public. Why was he on Lee Roupas’ payroll? Who was Rose blackmailing?

“I am often criticized because my political standards are too high, and too ethical, and I don’t play the same back-stabbing games as others. But that’s why I have an unblemished record of 45 years of pubic involvement without a sex scandal or any similar form of political embarrassment. You always know where I stand. Maybe now the Republicans who have criticized me for being too honest and too up front can see where their lies and cover-ups are taking them.

“Bottom line: When Andy Martin speaks, people take action. Media pay attention. Good riddance to Jeremy Rose, and now on to Lee Roupas and all the others who are linked to the continuing cover-up. If Kirk is involved, as HillBuzz.org alleges they have the evidence, he has to go as well.
